Our story
From My Hands to Your Cup
I’m Shirley, the one-woman maker behind Brew & Blossom. I grew up in Zhejiang’s tea country, earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Tea Science, and now run this Seattle studio myself—sourcing with my father and trusted growers, tasting, photographing, and packing every order by hand.
My approach blends research with craft: clean, small-batch teas you can re-steep with confidence. But more than credentials, I believe tea is about connection—to place, to people, to moments we share.

from 12 reviewsPuerh has become one of my favorite teas to curl up with this winter. The color really attracts me, and this Shou Puerh has been a delight these cold afternoons. Each sip is a breath of woodland mountain air, the morning after rain lulled you to sleep.

The website was easy to use—the story for each tea is fascinating. Shipping was fast, and the tea is wounderful
The first time I brewed the aged Zhangping Shuixian, I couldn't stop sipping it. It's a golden soup tasting lightly of rose and chocolate, aged in an oak barrel that lingers on your tongue.
This tea is really amazing! A very unique, hand crafted small batch gem that really shows the uniqueness of China’s least common tea type. It has an incredible aroma of crushed basil and mouth watering texture.
This white tea perfectly matches my expectations, elegant, delicate, and gently sweet. The pale yellow liquor carries soft aromas of peach, apricot, and a hint of melon. Clean and smooth on the palate, it’s light yet layered, without the grassy notes of green tea or the heaviness of black tea. A calming, refined brew I truly enjoy.
The aroma is rich and full-bodied, with a pronounced sweetness and hints of honey and fruit, which is perfect for those who enjoy the flavor of fermented teas.
Yellow tea might be the most gentle tea I’ve ever tried. The liquor is bright golden in color, with a floral and nutty aroma. It tastes smooth and mellow, leaving a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of honeydew melon, summer meadows, and cotton warmed by the sun.
The taste is refreshing and slightly sweet, with a gentle lingering finish and absolutely no bitterness. The tea leaves slowly unfurl in the cup, creating a visually pleasing experience. It’s perfect for afternoon tea or after meals, energizing but not overly stimulating. Highly recommended!
A beautifully mellow and well-balanced White Peony. The two years of aging have smoothed out any sharp notes, leaving behind a gentle sweetness and a subtle floral aroma. The liquor is clean and soft, with a lingering honey-like aftertaste. Perfect for quiet afternoons.
I really enjoyed the Try 3 Teas in One pouch — it’s such a clever way to experience different flavor profiles without having to buy full packs of each tea. The floral blend felt light and refreshing, the nutty one was cozy and smooth, and the mellow option was perfect for winding down in the evening. I love that all three were thoughtfully chosen to contrast yet complement one another, making it feel like a guided tasting experience. This set would be a great gift for anyone curious about exploring tea beyond the basics.
