Floral Black Tea

Floral Black Tea

A floral, unroasted black tea aged for two years—clean, gently sweet, and made for multiple infusions.

A modern revival from Zhejiang, made from high-mountain leaves with light oxidation and no roasting. Rested for two years for added roundness, it brews a clean, fragrant cup with a soft floral sweetness that opens up gradually across steeps.

Tasting notes:

Why This Black Tea Tastes Floral, Not Heavy

+

Not every black tea is dark, malty, or heavily roasted.

This tea is made from a local small-leaf cultivar in Zhejiang, giving it a naturally lifted aroma and a softer, sweeter structure. In the cup, wildflower fragrance rises above notes of honeyed fruit and gentle warmth, without the heaviness or sharp tannin often associated with stronger black teas.

It is neither blended nor roasted after processing, so the flavor remains clear and transparent. What you taste comes directly from the leaf, the season, and the way the tea was made.

The result is a black tea that feels floral, sweet, and refined—yet still has enough structure to stay expressive through multiple infusions.

A Zhejiang Small-Leaf Black Tea

+

Guzhang Honey Mist shows the delicate sweetness of a bud-forward black tea. This tea represents another side of Chinese black tea: the character of Zhejiang’s seed-grown small-leaf cultivars.

The leaves are not selected only for extreme tenderness. They bring more structure, deeper floral aroma, and greater endurance across infusions.

That balance is what makes this tea distinctive: wildflower fragrance on the surface, honeyed sweetness underneath, and enough body to remain clear and flavorful through repeated brewing.

Recognized in Zhejiang, China

This tea have been recognized at regional tea evaluations in Shaoxing:

  • 2024: Third Prize, Shaoxing Black Tea Evaluation & Exchange Competition
  • 2025: Quality Excellence Award, “Shaoxing Good Tea” Selection

These awards reflect the consistency we have worked toward across each harvest, even as every year brings its own natural variation.

The First Tea We Developed Together

+

This was the first tea my father and I developed together.

He brought hands-on experience in the garden and workshop. I brought my Tea Science training and a different way of evaluating aroma, oxidation, and structure.

Through repeated batches, we adjusted the process until the tea showed what we were looking for: clear wildflower fragrance, honeyed sweetness, and enough body to remain expressive across multiple infusions.

Part of Tea from Home

Five teas, one family garden.

This tea is one expression of our Tea from Home collection — five small-batch teas made from the same seed-grown Qunti Zhong leaves in Zhejiang.

By changing the craft, my father reveals a completely different side of the same garden: green, white, black, yellow tea.
