Why Choose Emerald Dew?

+

Emerald Dew is the green tea I recommend when you want something more aromatic and structured.

Unlike Dragon Well, which focuses on tenderness and quiet sweetness, Emerald Dew is made with slightly more mature spring leaves. This gives the cup a brighter aroma, fuller body, and more layered finish.

As a pan-fired green tea, it still feels fresh and smooth, but with more depth: a gentle astringency in the finish, followed by a lingering sweetness.

Choose this tea if you already enjoy green tea and want something high-aroma, refreshing, and more expressive.

Why Pearl Shape?

+

Pearl-shaped green teas have a long history in Zhejiang, but they are often associated with mass-produced gunpowder tea.

Emerald Dew takes the same familiar shape in a more refined direction. Made with tender spring leaves, the tea is rolled into compact pearls that protect the leaf and open gradually in water.

This slow unfurling gives the infusion a gentler release, making the tea smooth, refreshing, and easy to brew.

Same shape, completely different tea.

Leaf Timing Matters

+

For Emerald Dew, we do not chase the earliest spring buds.

Those very early leaves are better suited for teas like Dragon Well, where tenderness and delicacy are the focus. Emerald Dew needs a slightly more developed leaf—one with enough structure to be rolled into pearls and enough flavor to stay bright through multiple infusions.

Harvested shortly after Qingming, the leaves bring a fuller aroma, smoother body, and more refreshing finish.

It is not about earlier being better. It is about choosing the right leaf for the right tea.

Part of Tea from Home

Five teas, one family garden.

This tea is one expression of our Tea from Home collection — five small-batch teas made from the same seed-grown Qunti Zhong leaves in Zhejiang.

By changing the craft, my father reveals a completely different side of the same garden: green, white, black, yellow tea.
