Tea Gathering

Welcome to our in-person tea gatherings held in Seattle.

These curated sessions are not just tastings — they are immersive cultural experiences designed to connect people through tea. As someone with a professional background in Tea Science (B.S. & M.S.), I created this gathering series as part of my ongoing project for the UK Tea Academy Specialist Diploma. My mission is to bridge tea & tea knowledge sharing across cultures — and to make tea feel approachable, not intimidating.

Let’s sip, learn, and connect.

Each session features six thoughtfully selected teas, including:

  • Loose leaf teas currently offered in our store
  • Rare personal collections from my private archive
  • Seasonal teas that are soon to launch

Each gathering has a distinct theme (e.g. “Exploring Floral Profiles,” “Understanding Oxidation Levels”) and includes tasting notes, cultural stories, and brewing techniques.

Whether you’re new to tea or a longtime tea lover, these sessions offer a unique chance to deepen your understanding and appreciation of this remarkable plant — through a cross-cultural, science-informed lens.

“Tea is about connection
—not credentials.”

Guided by Scent and Story

Each tea comes with a printed tasting card — its origin, aroma, and brewing method thoughtfully detailed. Guests are invited to explore each cup mindfully, noticing how fragrance, texture, and flavor unfold through every steep. It’s not just tasting — it’s learning to listen to what the tea is saying.

Learning Through Contrast

Every gathering includes side-by-side tastings — comparing teas across oxidation levels, varietals, or crafting techniques. By observing subtle differences, we begin to understand the craftsmanship behind each tea and the culture it represents. It’s a journey of curiosity and open conversation, guided by sensory experience.

 Sharing Tea, Sharing Heart

Guests are welcome to brew and share their own favorite teas with the group — creating moments of warmth, laughter, and connection. These gatherings are not about formality, but community — where every pour tells a story, and every cup brings us closer together.
