A quick visual reference for your daily brew.

Add Tea and Water

① Add Tea + Water

Start with about 4 g of loose leaf tea in the 240 ml brewing chamber, then add hot water. Adjust the amount and water temperature depending on the tea you’re brewing.

Watch Then Release

② Watch, Then Release

Watch the color change as your tea steeps. When it looks right to you, slide the button to release. Let it drain completely before re-steeping.

Reset Valve

③ Reset + Re-steep

Once all the tea is out, pull the button back up before adding water for your next steep.

Don’t skip this step—the valve needs to be reset before re-steeping.

Lift Rest and Rinse

④ Lift, Rest & Rinse

You can also lift the brewer out of the pitcher and let the tea drain automatically. Rest it on the lid when you’re done, then give everything a quick rinse after use.

Caring for Your Everyday Brewer

For everyday cleaning, a quick rinse is usually all you need. Rinse the brewing chamber, pitcher, and lid after use, or hand wash gently with mild dish soap when needed.

We recommend hand washing rather than using a dishwasher to help protect the metal handle, release mechanism, and non-slip components over time.

FAQ

Why is my brewer leaking before I slide the button?

Make sure the brewing chamber is sitting fully and securely inside the pitcher. The release valve uses a magnetic mechanism between the brewing chamber and pitcher. If the chamber isn’t fully seated, the magnets may not align properly and the valve may not stay completely closed.

Lift the chamber out, place it back securely, and make sure it is sitting level before adding water.

Why does the tea drain when I lift out the brewing chamber?

That’s normal. Lifting the chamber away from the pitcher releases the magnetic mechanism, allowing the remaining tea to drain automatically.

Why is my tea draining more slowly than usual?

Check the filter for fine tea particles or tea dust covering the openings. Empty the brewing chamber and rinse the filter thoroughly with clean water before your next steep.

Can I use very finely cut tea or tea powder?

The Everyday Brewer is designed for loose leaf tea. Very finely cut tea, tea dust, or powdered tea may collect over the fine filter openings and slow the flow, so we recommend avoiding them.

Can I fill the pitcher to its full 600 ml capacity with hot tea?

The pitcher holds approximately 600 ml, but for everyday hot brewing, we recommend combining no more than two 240 ml steeps. It’s easier to handle this way, and the metal handle stays comfortably warm rather than becoming too hot as more hot tea is added.
